Katherine & Aldo are married!

When I sat down with these two at our first meeting, I liked them both right away.  Katherine and Aldo are both just so easy-going and friendly and we talked about all kinds of things while we sipped some tea together.  Aldo is a native Southern Californian with a love for the great outdoors.  Katherine, a sweet Southern girl, joined a backpacking club in Los Angeles when she moved here from Tennessee.  It just so happens that Aldo was right there waiting for her.  Their mutual love for the California landscape brought these two together and after getting to know them a little bit, it seems like the perfect way  for them to begin their journey together.  This wedding was so sweet and beautiful.  This is one of those instances I’m thankful that I have a job that allows me to meet such beautiful people, inside and out.  Ok, enough of this sappy stuff and onto the pictures!  That’s why we’re all here, right?

One of my faves from the whole day so it’s going first!  It was so hot in the hotel and then we get to the location at the Korean Friendship Bell in San Pedro that overlooks the ocean and the breeze was the most magnificent breeze of my life.  A little movement in pictures is always fun too.  Love his jacket and her dress flying in this shot.

I really love the sweetheart neckline of this dress.

One more just because the flower deserves a closeup.

The shoes!  Since her dress was short in front and everyone actually saw this bride’s shoes, she did it up right and rocked these adorable ruffly peep-toes.

I love dahlias, don’t you?

Katherine’s colors couldn’t have made more sense.  She has these piercing blue eyes and fiery red hair so she fit in perfectly to the blue and orange world she created for the day.  I love color!

The Korean Friendship Bell on the most gorgeous California day you could ask for.

The handsome groom getting ready to head up to the altar.

I don’t post a ton of family shots from weddings on my blog, but Aldo’s brother, Danny, had me cracking up all day.  He is Mr. Personality and had us laughing all day.

The ceremony.

The new Mr. & Mrs. Fernandez!

I love it when he makes her laugh.

I’m excited to share a ring shot from this wedding because Aldo created their rings himself!  He designed and made these and they are completely one of a kind.

I love fun cuff links.  It’s a fun little way for the groom to show a little personality.  Aldo wore working compass cuff links which were perfect for this pair of hikers.

I’m a big fan of simple, classic cakes.  I’ve decided.  Buttercream is my friend.

Hooray for details!

One fun group shot.  ”They all look like little ants from down here!”

More of these two crazy kids coming soon!  I got them all to myself for a day after session and we had some fun…stay tuned!
