Patty + Rudy…Married!

I’ve probably told you this before, but when I sat down with Patty and Rudy at our first meeting, I loved them both immediately!  I loved hearing the story of how they first met…or stories, rather!  They each have their own version of who came up to who first in their small private high school.  8 years later and it’s still unclear who made the first move, but one thing is perfectly clear, they were meant for each other.   These high school sweethearts are the real thing.  They are so madly in love and it was an absolute pleasure to capture their big day.  I see a great future ahead for the Garcias!

I really really ridiculously enjoyed shooting this wedding.  Branden and I got to try some new and interesting shots and I’m super happy with the outcome.  Here are (more than) a few of my favorites!

Patty made these amazing cuff links for Rudy.  They each hold a photo of Rudy’s grandfather who he was incredibly close to.  Although he is no longer with us, I’m willing to bet he was there in spirit on Rudy’s big day.  The cuff links were a very thoughtful reminder and I’m so glad Branden captured this picture while I was with the primping bride.  What a great gift!

Oh man, my favorite part of the day was probably in the very beginning.  I arrived at the bride’s house and once inside realized there were some very odd noises coming from outside.  I soon realized there were peacocks, chickens, a rooster, 8 baby goats, and horses roaming around out back.  Whaaaaaat?  My VERY favorite thing though, is that the adorable little flower girl, Jaylene, introduced me to them all…including her pet snake, Mr. Mike Wiggles.  Best. Pet. Name. EVER!  I had to have a picture of this cute little girl with her hair done all pretty, in her Sponge Bob jammies, holding a wriggling snake.  LOVE it.  Weddings and snakes.  Who would have thought?

The lovely Patty.

Getting a little help with the garter…it was quite an adventure!

The very handsome groom.
Some final words from mom…and a couple of anticipatory tears.

Branden found a balcony I didn’t even know existed and caught this shot.  He really amazed me with the fantastic work he did!

LOVE this one.

The lovely ladies.  What a beautiful day huh?
I love orchids.  They absolutely made this cake.

Not sure what it is about this next one that I like so much but it stood out to me.

The best light just happened to be in a parking lot.  That didn’t stop me!

Another of Branden’s fabulous shots of the day.  Another of my faves.

A couple more fun moments during the partay!

Can’t forget the details!  The girls behind Bash Parties and Events did an A-ma-zing job pulling everything together to complete Rudy & Patty’s vision for their most special day.  The reception came together beautifully at The Reef in Long Beach and everything went off without a hitch.  I’m hoping to have a chance to work with Jaclyn and Amber again sometime!

Rudy and Patty, thank you so much for choosing us to be a part of your wedding day.  Branden and I wish you nothing but happiness, from the bottom of our hearts.  We hope you will keep in touch!
