Boudoir Workshop

Last weekend I took my first photography workshop.  Actually, the emphasis was supposed to be more on lighting and boudoir than photography as a whole, so prepare for some scantily clad photos.  I love the idea of workshops.  The thought of coming together for the single purpose of learning something new is so cool.  Unfortunately, I don’t feel that I learned much at this one.  There was a quick lecture which consisted mainly of a couple of common sense bulletin points.  Meh.  It was a little on the cheesy side.  The hotel location was SO not my taste at all.  The model was beautiful and amazing at her job, but overall the whole thing wasn’t really my thing.  I’m working on setting up some boudoir sessions that I can do MY way!  I’m getting really excited about rounding up some sexy ladies for some more interesting sessions, keep a lookout for that in about a month or so.  That being said, there are a couple of shots from the workshop that I do kind of like.  Always up for something different.

I know the focus isn’t ideal here, but I kind of like it anyway.

I have two more pictures to show you but I want to warn you, they are nudes.  Most of the girly bits are in shadow so I’ve decided they should be okay on the blog.  If you don’t want to see them, simply don’t scroll down any further, I don’t want to offend anyone!  But know that they’re probably my two favorite shots from the shoot!  The female body really is a work of art!

My very favorite.  I LOVE this shot.  I love that there’s just enough light to show the outline of her perfect curves.  I love that I achieved this shot by NOT listening to the guy teaching the workshop…whatta rebel!  It was supposed to be a full silhouette but I decided it was far more interesting to show just a a little bit.  I’d love to hear your thoughts!
