Blog Sugar

Last night I attended a wonderful event to bring local bloggers together, called *Blog Sugar*  The night was hosted by my dear friend, Mrs. No. 17 over at Cherry Tree Lane and as always, she was the most fabulous of hostesses.  She never ceases to amaze me how easily she brings people together and is just an amazing instrument in cultivating new friendships.  Since meeting her I’ve become friends with a whole group of amazing girls, many of whom are also bloggers…so we got to mingle all night long.  I also got to meet some really fun, sweet new blogger friends in person.  It was a really great night, from beginning to end and as always, I have a few pictures to share.

Not only was everyone super nice and totally fun, we were all sent home with goodies and swag from some of the super awesome ladies.  These cute little Chinese take out boxes were filled a pink sugary goodness in the form of a cupcake from April over at Modern Foodie.  My new friend, April, happens to be a fabulous personal chef.  Her food looks simply amazing, beware, her blog will most definitely make you hungry.

The cutest name-tags that ever did exist.  Each one magically turns into a flowery hair accessory when you no longer need to wear your name along with it.  SO cute.  Thanks!

Our lovely hostess, Rachel.  Rachel just exudes happiness and friendliness and I feel blessed to know her!  I love this girl and I love her blog.

There was NO shortage of sugar at Blog Sugar, that’s for sure.  I quickly slipped into a sugar coma and I’m not sure I’ve come out of it yet since I was sent home with a cupcake, cookies and some delicious smelling Coffee Bean coffee (haven’t made it yet because I simply cannot make coffee).  These cake pops were among my favorite and they’re so cute!

This just makes me think of Rachel.  Her vintage typewriter, decorated for the event, resting on Mary Poppins and a collection of other surely vintage books.  Add candles and some yumminess and this one shot is just about a perfect snapshot of Rachelness.

Blogging has been so much fun in these past years and I love it when it becomes a vehicle to create new connections and friendships.  My blog, although it’s been through many changes, has seen me through some really great and really difficult times.  So, here’s to blogging.  I love it.  I’ll never quit.  You can’t make me.  I look forward to chronicling my journey through life, as well as those who cross my path.  I’m excited for the next Blog Sugar!  I’ll need my next “fix” soon, I’m sure of it.
